My purpose of this blog is to discuss, learn and grow away from eating fake foods and go back to eating real foods. It is shocking to me how much of our store bought, fast food and restaurant made foods contain ingredients that are not real food. We have become a society who is consuming foods that are full of fillers, and things that are not providing our nutrition but just actually making us fat. When we look at the American diet, it is one of the world's worst diet why? In my oppion it is because our food its made of food it's filler. and filler makes us fat. Why are there statement being made that our fast food meats only contain 18% meat. what is the other 82% of the meat made of?
This whole concept of feeding people fake food make me crazy. I recently heard from a friend that if I checked coke's made not in the USA are made with natural cane sugar, but here in the US we use corn syrup. WHY? what we love corn syrup here? But other people like cane sugar?
I believe it's a way to fatten us up. Make us as big as possible, fill us full of fake meat, fake sugars, fake, fake , fake and we are sure to only live half the time.
I am on a personal quest to make sure everything I cook and eat is real food! Yes, I am lucky I love to cook, but I know not everyone does so I will try and always include food that non cooker can eat too. I know this sound stupid simple, but I really think that If we all grew what we needed, cooked our own seasonal foods and STOPPED EATING THINGS OUT OF BOXES, we would no longer be sick, fat and suffering from too many diet related illnesses.
I thought I ate good, I thought I cooked well and didn't have any diet issues. But I was sick, super sick, and no doctor could explain why. After years of unexplained illness(female issues, migraines, stomach issues and chronic fatigue) I finally tested positive for insulin resistance. Which was a blessing in my mind. So as a typical course the doctor put me on a low dose of metformin to help my insulin resistance. It made me very sick at first, and I started reading about my issues and other things I could try. I had several friends encourage me to try a gluten free diet, and finally I found the dietary issue that was causing my body so much pain and suffering.
The big lesson I learned is that everything I put in my body will determine how my body feels. Feed it the foods I need and I will be healthy, have energy and not be sick. My goal is to provide a blog, and other social media groups to teach people to STOP EATING FAKE FOODS.
Sadly, American are the fattiest people in the world and it is a direct correlation to what we eat. Sure you can by a taco from taco bell for under a $1. But what is in it? Does it have any nutritional value? and is it even real food?
Start with me on my quest to free my family from fake foods!
Start reading labels of the things you love.. do you understand the items you are consuming?
Start looking for foods to cook that don't come from a box.
Start with learning one new recipe that has no "premade items"
WE didn't use to be a country of fat people, AMERICANS were hard worker who lived off our land and grew and cooked good and healthy foods.
I hope you too will get back to feeding families healthy foods that are made with real foods.
NO MORE FAKE FOODS AT MY HOUSE!!!!
